We are seeking a lead in software development who will be responsible for the entire software development and who will manage our growing team of developers within the full development life cycle.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
– Strategic build up of our software including motion control, visual plant recognition, autonomous navigation & corresponding APIs
– Define and execute an engineering roadmap for the team
– Define and build the organizational setup of the development team (~6 developers)
– Plan, monitor and steer strategic development topics
– Keep track of KPIs, implement agile software development practices
– Coordinate, guide, and oversee the engineering work of your team
– Close collaboration with founding team
PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS
– Work experience in managing development teams and co-directing the development process
– Strong software engineering and open-source background, ideally practical experience in robotics (ROS and related software components)
– Comfortable with object-oriented & functional programming languages
– Ability to work in a multidisciplinary & diverse team
– A technical mindset with a strong strategic focus
– Hands-on mentality: you might have to get your hands dirty during field testings
– Preferably German skills
