Funding program 2
Project description and objectives
The research project aims to develop a digital ecosystem for agriculture that uses image-sensor-based AI to recognize plants and weeds and ensure more efficient weed control. This technology is being tested using the E-TERRY agricultural robot to demonstrate its applicability and drive forward automation in agriculture. The aim is to use these innovations to enable more sustainable food production and reduce the workload for farmers, while at the same time increasing productivity. This is where Europe and the Free State of Thuringia are investing in rural areas.
Funding program 1
Project description and objectives
Development of an autonomous robot for mechanical weed control in vegetable cultivation and development of the tool for weed control.
The project, which is funded by the Free State of Thuringia, is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) Plus.
Description of the project:
The company’s project is the further development and commercialization of a field robot that is currently in prototype status. The aim is to further develop the existing system so that it can autonomously and ecologically remove weeds from agricultural land. To this end, a tool is to be developed for the robotic platform that removes the weeds reliably and in a targeted manner.
